I hope everyone had a safe, restful, and joyous Christmas Break! I am looking forward to the new year and all the new opportunities that are ahead of us.
It is sometimes hard to stay in a routine with all the parties and festivities that come along with Christmas and New Years. I know there were many nights that my kids and I couldn't fit in our nightly reading routine. That being said, I am eager (I think they are too) to get back into a regular schedule.
It is very important to either read to your son/daughter nightly or have them read to you. My son (Grade 1) and I sometimes take turns reading (he reads a page, then I read a page). I make sure the books I choose are at his reading level (he can read most words in the story). My goal for the New Year with this Blog is to take more pictures of the kids during PALS class! Wish me luck!
